Clearing stormy skies in early May with the Gay Head Lighthouse perched above the Gay Head Cliffs. This is the first lighthouse on Martha's Vineyard,MA built originally in 1799 and authorized to be built by John Adams. it was reconstructed in 1856.
It provided safe passage for ships navigating the Vineyard Sound waters of Martha's Vineyard which is an island off the State of Massachusetts and is the third largest island on the East Coast of the United States.
