Artist's Description
Published in the official 2020 Adventure Guide of Idaho, this is a long exposure photography of the night sky over Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains near Stanley, Idaho in Central Idaho. This area is a Dark Sky Reserve that is a Bortle 1 designated area and has achieved a gold tier status due to the low levels of light pollution and the rules that have to be followed in order to maintain that status. The Milky Way is clearly seen with the naked eye and if a calm night like this one is occuring, you will get a perfect reflection on the beautiful lake underneath the Sawtooth Mountain range.
