A January night in the snow next to the Merced river at Yosemite’s Gates of the Valley. The Gates of the Valley are on the Yosemite’s Valley floor and look up at El Capitan and the Cathedral Rock Spires with Bridalveil falls flowing down them. The Merced River flows in the foreground and the snowbanks are seen with a foggy mist rising up off the ground. The night is clear and stars light up the sky and behind the mountains can be seen a full moon's glow as it begins to rise.
Always trying to put an image to paper from my earliest years, I found my creative happy place when I received my first camera at age nine. That camera would put me on a lifelong adventure of freezing some of these beautiful moments I have been able to enjoy. Follow me on Instagram at: lesliewellsphoto Thank you for visiting!
